All clubs will need to charter for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Starting or Chartering a Club

Interested in starting a club? Follow these steps to get chartered!

Recruit at least 5 members, including a Club President and ICC Representative (must be two different students).
Find an advisor. Clubs may have up to two MSJC faculty or administrators as advisors.
Complete the Club Charter Form and submit your club constitution.

Club Advisor Orientation

All club advisors must complete the online orientation and assessment with a passing score of 80% before their club can be officially chartered.

Advisors who do not pass may retake the assessment.

Important: Funding requests require 6–8 weeks of advance planning and supporting documentation.

What is ICC?

The Inter-Club Council (ICC) is a branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) that represents and supports MSJC student clubs. ICC oversees club chartering, funding requests, and club activities while promoting student involvement across campuses.

To support student clubs, encourage campus involvement, celebrate diverse interests, and ensure student voices are represented.

ICC agendas and minutes are published in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act. Agendas are posted once approved, and minutes are posted following approval.

Earn Funding for Your Club!

ICC clubs can earn funding by participating in the following opportunities:

Participatory Governance & Student Disciplinary Hearings: Earn $50 per student, per meeting attended. A maximum of 2 students per club, per committee, may earn funding. Students may serve on multiple committees.
SGA Event Tabling: Earn $100 per event with at least 2 club members staffing the table for the entire event.

Attendance Verification: Meeting attendance must be verified by MSJC staff or the meeting recorder. SGA event participation requires check-in and check-out with SLDP staff and attendance for the full event.

All earned funds will be deposited into the club's account.

You can get the opportunity to work onstage and backstage or be an invigorating audience member who cheers on their fellow peers. Every bi-weekly meeting you'll be engaging with like-minded individuals who create an energetic atmosphere that will be filled with laughter and joy while exploring ways to bring entertainment to our college campus and community.

You can get the opportunity to work onstage and backstage or be an invigorating audience member who cheers on their fellow peers. At every weekly meeting, you'll be engaging with like-minded individuals who create an energetic atmosphere that will be filled with laughter and joy while exploring ways to bring entertainment to our college campus and community.

The Pom Squad at MSJC is a club sport that welcomes dancers of all experience levels from both the Menifee and San Jacinto campuses. Practices are held at the San Jacinto campus, and the squad performs at football games at the Menifee campus and basketball games at the San Jacinto campus. The squad consists of a sideline team, which all members automatically join, and a performance team that requires a try-out which was held in April of 2025. MSJC Pomsquad is a high-energy team that brings school spirit, dance, pom, and cheer to MSJC events, football games, basketball games, and performances!

The MSJC Photo Club is dedicated to expanding our knowledge and skills in the art and practice of photography. Our goal is to help students grow creatively, technically, and professionally through collaborative projects, campus involvement, and hands-on experiences. Members have opportunities to develop leadership skills, work alongside other clubs and organizations by providing photography support for events, and learn new photography techniques, tools, and industry advancements. We also participate in field trips, photo walks, and events both on and off campus to encourage creativity, build experience, and create a welcoming community for students who share a passion for photography.

Step into the world of healthcare and learn all about medicine and everything biomedical! The Public Health & Medicine Club is a group founded by biomedical students, for biomedical students and beyond. Our goal is to provide resources for students interested in a healthcare pathway, foster a supportive and diverse community of passionate and inclusive individuals, as well as host fun events for students to socialize and congregate!

We also seek to educate and spread awareness of medical phenomena galore, address issues that plague the healthsphere, spotlight healthcare innovations and innovators, and much more to come! Join us as we explore the biomedical sciences!

We are a platform for over 18,000 Mt. San Jacinto College students and the community to promote a diverse student voice, involvement from the college, and creative collaborations to:

Report on important issues concerning MSJC, and the students that attend the institution to better connect the student with the institution
Promote awareness of activities that occur on campus and throughout the community MSJC serves
Inform MSJC students of events and information critical to success in higher education
Create a venue for the student voice which fairly represents the diversity of students that attend MSJC in an ethical manner
