Early Childhood Mentor Program

In collaboration with the California Early childhood Mentor Program, Mt. San Jacinto College provides an exemplary mentoring program for Early Childhood professionals. We offer both a comprehensive Mentor Teacher and Director Mentor program designed to fulfill the growing need for quality educational and professional support within the local community.

The Mentor Teacher program offers experienced Mentor Teachers the opportunity to train student teachers enrolled in our Child Development and Education program as well as local high school Regional Occupational Program (ROP) early childhood programs. This program creates a career track and paid mentoring positions for exemplary teachers and establishes training options for students in community worksites.

The Director Mentor Program offers on-going seminars for all directors in the community. In addition, it provides funding for novice directors to receive technical assistance and support from experienced Director Mentors.
