Events and Workshops
The First Year Experience Program hosts FREE workshops and events throughout the academic school year as a tool for its students. These workshops are to introduce students to the expectations of higher education and empower them to discover their academic and personal goals.
The following workshops listed below will be offered during the Fall 2022 semester, to register for the online workshops, please review the links below each events date and time to sign up via Zoom. Zoom links will be sent to the email address used upon registration on the day you signed up along with a reminder email which will be sent the day prior to the event.

The First Year Experience Program wants to assist you with organizing your planner and schedule for the school year during the Planner Party Workshop. This hour-long workshop will allow you to bring your own planner, and/or use our schedule sheets along with receiving information to bring efficiency, balance, or to assist you with beautifying your planner.

The First Year Experience Program and Student Life and Development, want to show you ways to build community on and off campus in an hour-long workshop. Whether you are taking an in-person or online course, there are plenty of ways to get involved by attending events, getting involved in clubs, and learn more ways to be a part of the campus culture at MSJC.

First Year Experience Program would like to get you ready for mid-terms and also connect you with your fellow peers to not only get ready for your upcoming exams but on how to perform best practices that will ensure success during an hour-long workshop.

Learn more about the Student Civic and Voter Empowerment Act, AB 963 during a thirty-minute workshop with Student Civic and Voter Empowerment Coordinator, Amber Rivera.

The First Year Experience Program wants to show students how to network with professors while learning more about office hours, how to email a professor and other strategies that will be effective when transferring to a university. The hour-long workshop will allow you to not only hear from an MSJC instructor but learn from previous Mt. San Jacinto College students and their experiences.

The First Year Experience Program would like to get you ready for finals with your fellow peers to ensure you are using successful studying tactics to receive the grade you want on your final and in your course during an hour-long workshop.

Spend some time decompressing and relaxing before finals while also working on stress management by painting or coloring with your FYE Navigators at the San Jacinto Campus and Menifee Valley Campus.

The First Year Experience Program wants to get YOU ready for Spring 2023 by showing you how to register for courses within Self-Service. The FYE Navigators will be offering hour long workshops that will allow YOU to learn the process of registering while breaking down other important areas within Self-Service.

Frequently Asked Questions about FYE Events and Workshops
The list of events and workshops for the Spring 2023 semester will be released in January 2023. Be sure to check back to this webpage to find events and workshops for the upcoming semester.
Unfortunately, the workshops will not be recorded to protect the privacy of students, however, for our FYE students, they will be emailed documents from the workshop to review at the conclusion of the workshop.
To prepare for our workshops, we recommend you access the zoom link in a quiet space and log in at least 5 minutes prior to the start. It is also encouraged for you to bring a pencil and paper for any notes or questions you may have.
After that, get ready to have some fun and we look forward to seeing you, future eagle!
