Superintendent/President

More than 225 MSJC students were recognized as scholarship recipients during the December MSJC Foundation scholarship receptions, celebrating the collective impact of donor generosity, institutional support, and a shared commitment to student success. Nearly $175,000 in donor-funded scholarships was awarded.

Dr. Roger Schultz, in partnership with the MSJC Foundation, welcomed President's Circle members to the Temecula Valley Campus for a President's Winter Soirée. The seasonal reception provided an opportunity to gather in appreciation of the President's Circle members' continued support of the College.

The President's Division hosted holiday open houses at each campus, welcoming faculty and staff from across the district for a festive treat and an opportunity to connect and celebrate the season together.

Executive Cabinet

The Student Services Division proudly welcomed three new interim Deans to the team. Cheri Naish, Interim Dean of Enrollment Services, Shanae Williams, interim Dean of Financial Aid, and Citlali Gonzeles, interim Dean of Student Services.

The fall semester concluded with the successful launch and completion of the College's inaugural Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program, with 100% of enrolled students earning certification—an outstanding achievement made possible through strong leadership, collaboration, and student-centered focus.

With search committee membership nearing completion, the search for MSJC's 8th Superintendent/President is well underway. Trustee Calvin Smith was honored on December 2, 2025, with the Exchange Club's Book of Golden Deeds Award, the nation's longest-running recognition for volunteer service. The award honors individuals whose selfless commitment to service has made a lasting impact on their communities.

On Thursday, December 11, the Board of Trustees completed its mandated harassment prevention training facilitated by an attorney from Liberty Cassidy Whitmore. That same day, during the Board's Annual Organizational Meeting, Tom Ashley was selected to continue serving as Board President, and Vicki Carpenter was selected to continue to serve as Board Clerk for 2026.
