Report Sexual Harassment or Other Sex or Gender-Based Misconduct
What to Report
Any incident involving a student, employee, or other individual who interacts with MSJC should be reported when it may constitute sex or gender-based misconduct including, but not limited to:
- Sexual harassment
- Sexual assault
- Dating violence
- Domestic violence
- Sexual violence
- Sexual exploitation
Information to Include in a Report
A report to the Title IX Office should include all relevant information related to the nature of the incident and those involved, including, but not limited to:
Who Can Report
Anyone may report sexual harassment or other sex or gender-based misconduct whether the individual reporting is the individual who experienced the conduct.
Responsible Employees are required to promptly report all relevant information they reasonably know about sexual harassment or other sex or gender-based misconduct to the Title IX Coordinator.
Additional Reporting Options
In addition to reporting to MSJC’s Title IX Office, individuals who have experienced, witnessed, or heard about sexual harassment and other sex or gender-based misconduct may consider these additional reporting options:
A complaint may be filed with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the U.S. Department of Education by using the Discrimination Complaint Form.
In accordance with federal and state laws, the District prohibits intimidation, threats, coercion, or discrimination against any individual who makes a report to the Title IX Office.
