Can you seem to understand a lesson when you are in class, but then get confused or forget when you try to do your homework or take tests?

Do you find it difficult to discuss ideas verbally?

Do you have trouble understanding verbal instructions or explanations?

Do you find yourself using short or easy words to explain things when you write just because you know how to spell the word?

Do you have trouble organizing information?

Do you miscopy or leave out words, letters and/or numbers when you write things down?

Do you have trouble spelling and/or remembering your multiplication tables?

Do you have extreme difficulty remembering names, faces, or phone numbers?

Do you get lost easily, confuse north, south, east, or west, or have trouble telling right from left?

Do your eyes water or hurt when you read?

Are you easily distracted by noises in the classroom?
If the answer is yes to more than three of these questions, it is recommended that you refer the student to the LD Specialist for further evaluation.
