A Message from the Superintendent/President | Welcome to Spring 2024
1/16/2024
Hi Eagles,
I hope you enjoyed the holidays, took some time to recharge, and you're ready for the Spring 2024 semester. I'm excited to welcome you, whether you are returning or are new to Mt. San Jacinto College.
At MSJC, our mission is crystal clear: we're here to guide you to the finish line. Whether you're with us in person or online, we're grateful you've chosen MSJC for your academic journey. We've got your back with financial aid, tutoring services, health services, essential needs and food at our Eagles Landing Centers, a robust student life, and so much more.
We have so much to celebrate: Our Science, Technology, Math, and Science buildings are nearing completion at the San Jacinto and Menifee Valley campuses. Our Men's and Women's basketball teams are fierce competitors. The college is celebrating its 60th anniversary. We have new programs, and there a variety of events across our campuses to provide you a sense of community, support, education, and an opportunity to network. I encourage you to come to our campuses to make new friends.
In fact, we look forward to seeing many of you at MSJC's MLK Breakfast Celebration on this Wednesday, January 18, and hear from one of the original Freedom Writers, Narada Comans. This is will be a great event!
We are dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at MSJC. And this is just one of the many ongoing efforts that celebrate and support our diverse communities as indicated in our Call to Action.
We're proud of our updated mission statement and I encourage you to read it, learn more about the college and its history.
As we kick off the semester, please visit one of our Welcome Back tables on a campus near you this week. You'll find the support you need, directions to classes, loads of info, and some friendly encouragement. I'll be at one of the tables, so I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
We've got an exciting year ahead, so get ready to soar. Let's make 2024 another standout chapter in MSJC's Legacy of Transformation.
Go, Eagles!
