Superintendent/President
On Friday, October 10, 2025, Dr. Roger Schultz announced his plans to retire in summer 2026, after more than 25 years of service to the District and 18 years as Superintendent/President.
Dr. Roger Schultz welcomed the 9th cohort of MSJC's President's Leadership Academy, bringing together 22 staff and faculty to hear from community college leaders across the region. The session was facilitated by Dr. Pamila Fisher, a highly respected consultant and longtime leader within the California Community College system.
Dr. Schultz hosted three campus-wide employee appreciation events, where employees
enjoyed sweet treats and received custom MSJC tumblers, special thanks to the MSJC
Foundation for their support.
For the third consecutive year, MSJC proudly hosted the HBCU Transfer Caravan on Monday, October 27, continuing our commitment to student opportunity and cultural connection.

Executive Cabinet
The Executive and Management/Leadership teams participated in a professional development session focused on navigating federal and state immigration enforcement in education. The presentation provided guidance on student privacy, legal compliance, and institutional best practices.
Board of Trustees
At a special meeting on Tuesday, October 14, the Board of Trustees approved a contract to launch MSJC's presidential search process. On Friday, October 17, an update message about the Presidential Search was shared on behalf of Board President Tom Ashley, with the campus community including a campuswide survey to gather feedback from students, faculty, and staff.
On Friday, October 10, Trustees Brian Sylva and Jhalister Corona attended the MSJC Athletics Hall of Fame event alongside Dr. Roger Schultz.
Trustee Calvin Smith and staff represented MSJC at the City of San Jacinto's State
of the City Address and Dinner on October 16.
