Dear MSJC Family,

Today marks an exciting new chapter as we officially welcome Dr. Tawny Dotson as the eighth Superintendent/President of Mt. San Jacinto Community College District. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is my privilege to welcome Dr. Dotson to this role and to the MSJC family.

Dr. Dotson brings a thoughtful and forward-looking vision that reflects the values that define our college—excellence, integrity, access, and, above all, a commitment to student success. Throughout the search process, the Board sought a leader who would honor MSJC’s strong foundation while embracing the continued evolution of an institution that is already thriving. We found that leader in Dr. Dotson.

With extensive experience in higher education and community colleges, Dr. Dotson is an innovative leader, a thoughtful listener, and a passionate advocate for students. She is eager to immerse herself in the life of the college, build relationships across our campuses and communities, and continue the extraordinary legacy established by Dr. Roger Schultz.

Over the coming weeks and months, Dr. Dotson looks forward to meeting and engaging with faculty, staff, students, and community partners as she listens, learns, and helps shape the future of MSJC together with all of us.

She has already begun her journey with enthusiasm and purpose. Take a look at what she has been up to on her first day as Superintendent/President.
