MSJC Registered Nursing Program Ranks No. 7 In California

Mt. San Jacinto College’s Registered Nursing program ranked No. 7 out of 160 programs in California for RN programs, according to Nursing Explorer.
Nursing Explorer, a nursing education and career resource center, calculates the rankings by considering a number of factors such as a college’s high National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rate.
The demand for nurses continues to grow in our area and MSJC students are sought out by local agencies, said Dr. Peter Zografos, MSJC Nursing Program Director.
MSJC Nursing students participate in an occupational internship with local agencies and gain hands-on experience, he said. All graduates who have participated in the occupational internship program, in past years, have secured employment through their internship.
Getting a job in the field of study is one of the reasons MSJC’s Allied Health & Nursing Program earned a Silver Star award from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office.
In May, MSJC held a nurse pinning ceremony for its 46 nursing graduates. They were among 1,707 graduates earning a record-breaking 3,314 degrees and certificates from Mt. San Jacinto College this academic year.
On June 17, Mt. San Jacinto College launched its MSJC Promise program that will provide free tuition to first-time, full-time students beginning this fall.
