MSJC Hosts Annual Temecula Community Christmas Dinner, Continuing a Cherished Holiday Tradition

1/15/2026

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) was honored to once again open the doors of its Temecula Valley campus to the community as the host site for the 2025 Temecula Community Christmas Dinner. This long-standing holiday tradition brings connection, dignity, and care to community members on Christmas Day.

Organized by the Temecula Sunrise Rotary Foundation, the annual event continues to grow in both reach and impact. In 2025, the Christmas Dinner served 1,265 meals —the highest total in the event’s history —of which 348 were delivered directly to seniors who were unable to attend in person, ensuring that even the most vulnerable community members felt remembered and supported during the holidays.

“This event reflects the very best of who we are as a community,” said Dr. Roger Schultz, Superintendent/President of MSJC. “We are deeply grateful to the Rotary Club and the Temecula Sunrise Rotary Foundation for their leadership in organizing this incredible tradition, and to our MSJC staff and the MSJC Foundation for their generosity in donating gifts and blankets that were shared with community members during the event. These acts of kindness make a meaningful difference.”

Beyond the meals, the Christmas Dinner represents something equally powerful: companionship. Many attendees are individuals who might otherwise spend Christmas Day alone, and the event offers not only nourishment but warmth, conversation, and a sense of belonging.

MSJC also extends its heartfelt appreciation to the dozens of volunteers who gave their time on Christmas Day to serve others. Their commitment embodies the spirit of the season and reinforces the strength of the MSJC community and its partners.

MSJC is proud to serve as a partner and gathering place for this important event and looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years ahead.
