Mt. San Jacinto College celebrated the vibrant and diverse cultures of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community with a dynamic event on Thursday, April 14, at the Menifee Valley Campus—and not even the unexpected spring rain could dampen the spirit of celebration.
The festivities featured an exciting lineup of cultural performances, including Filipino and Hawaiian dances by Toni Pasion, UCR Dance Professor, a karate demonstration by Total Impact Martial Arts, and a lively Tagalog conversation led by MSJC student Elijah Cutright-Jones. A stunning showcase of traditional costumes and free boba tea added to the festive atmosphere.
Despite the light rain, students, staff, and community members gathered to celebrate culture, resilience, and community spirit, proving once again that joy and heritage shine through any weather.
