MSJC Board of Trustees Adopts 2026-2027 Budget

9/14/2026

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, the Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) Board of Trustees approved a $441,570,165 budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. MSJC's 2026-27 budget supports a growing institution through increased investment in employees, student services, and facilities while maintaining the District's required fiscal reserves and taking advantage of improved state funding for enrollment growth.

The adopted budget includes funding for college operations, salaries and benefits, student programs and services, financial aid, capital projects, restricted programs, auxiliary operations, and Bond Project Fund Measure AA projects. It also reflects a 4.31% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for state apportionments and accounts for contractual obligations and increased employer costs.

The budget also provides funding for ongoing facilities projects, including signage and wayfinding, improvements at the San Jacinto and Menifee Valley campuses, the San Jacinto Campus Gymnasium HVAC project and other scheduled maintenance.

MSJC serves about 30,000 students across a 1,700-square-mile district, spanning from the San Gorgonio Pass to Temecula.
