Five MSJC Students Named to 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-California Academic Team

4/23/2025

Mt. San Jacinto College is proud to announce that five outstanding students have been recognized on the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-California Academic Team. This honor celebrates academic excellence, leadership, and community service among California community college students.

Representing MSJC on this year's team are:

First Team Honorees:

  • Karianne Gault
  • Danaija Childs
  • Jaxon Tabesh

Second Team Honoree:

  • Julie Chen

These students were selected by the Community College League of California in partnership with PTK and are among just 109 students recognized statewide. The honor is based on GPA, involvement in campus and community activities, and a demonstrated commitment to academic and personal growth.

“This recognition reflects our students' hard work, determination, and leadership,” said Dr. Roger Schultz, MSJC Superintendent/President. “We are proud to celebrate these remarkable four scholars who exemplify what it means to pursue excellence and inspire others along the way.”

PTK is the premier honor society for two-year colleges, with more than 3.5 million members worldwide. The All-California Academic Team program highlights the state's top students and is modeled after the national All-USA Academic Team.

Congratulations to these exceptional Eagles on this well-deserved recognition!
