On January 23, MSJC celebrated the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for ieNOW and Studio215, joined by regional media partners and community members. The event was well attended and enthusiastically received, reflecting strong anticipation for this exciting new venture. Just in time for the spring semester, the San Jacinto campus café unveiled a refreshed look, creating an inviting space for students as they return to campus.

On Thursday, January 22, the Student Services team hosted MSJC's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast, honoring the life and living legacy of Dr. King. The event featured powerful student speakers, educational leaders, and scholars who reflected on Dr. King's enduring words and transformational impact, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a meaningful and memorable gathering.

In late January, Trustee Calvin Smith, Student Trustee Claudia Walukouw, and Superintendent/President Dr. Roger Schultz represented MSJC at the Annual Legislative Conference hosted by the Community Colleges League of California. Together, the team advocated for improvements to the Student-Centered Funding Formula, expanded student equity and achievement support, and continued workforce funding to help address regional workforce gaps.
