Pursuant to Board Policy 5800: Protection of Human Research Subjects (pg. 119 of the Board Policy Manual) all researchers (both MSJC employees and external researchers) are required to complete an approval form submitted through the Research Office. Failure to have your proposed research project reviewed may be violation of Board Policy, and could result in institutional consequences and/or legal ramifications.
Board Policy 5800:
Research using Mt. San Jacinto Community College District students, employees, or their records shall be reviewed by an Institutional Research Review Committee (IRRC). The purpose of this review is to ensure the protection of research subjects and their right to confidentiality as required by Federal and State law.
