How Failing Made Me Stronger: My Journey to Reconnection

In this personal narrative, I reflect on my journey from academic dismissal at UC Merced to finding my way back stronger. Struggling with isolation, homesickness, and pressure, I initially lost my connection to myself and my goals. After facing the consequences of my actions, I redirected my focus toward things that are meaningful to me. I enrolled in MSJC to work my way back toward university, got a job as my first step toward healthcare, and started a small business to bring joy to children. Through self-reflection, I've learned that failure is not defining, but my commitment to growth and reconnection is. I'm now ready to return to UC Merced, stronger both academically and personally.
