60th Anniversary
Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) first opened its doors to students in 1963, and we are excited to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the college district starting in fall 2023.
Over six decades, MSJC has continued to uphold its vision of Transforming Learners, Transforming Communities, Transforming Lives. In 1965, MSJC’s first graduating class totaled eight students. In 2023, more than 2,000 graduates earned diplomas. Today, thousands of diverse MSJC alumni are leading successful careers, running businesses, raising families, and contributing to communities throughout our 1,700-square-mile district and beyond.
MSJC's legacy is built on the belief that excellent higher education should be accessible to everyone. Our outstanding faculty, classified professionals, and administrators continue to ensure that we foster an environment of inclusion and equity and celebrate the diversity of those on campus and within our communities.
During our 60th anniversary, we will honor our past, celebrate the growth and achievements we are experiencing today, and plan for a future that takes our legacy to new heights so that MSJC continues to be a beacon of positive transformation for those we serve.
Please learn more about MSJC’s history and celebrate with us at one of the many events planned for this academic year and to the end of 2024.
