MSJC is a Proud Hispanic-Serving Institution

In 2001, Mt. San Jacinto College achieved HSI status and was formally designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by the United States Department of Education. MSJC acknowledges the community we serve and the academic efforts of our Latinx students, many of whom are attending college for the time or are first- generation college students. Approximately 48% of MSJC’s students identify as Latinx as of Spring 2024.

In October 2021, the MSJC Board of Trustees passed a Resolution to Affirm District's Commitment to Prioritize the Success of MSJC's Latinx/Chicanx/Hispanic Students.
