FYE Student Mentors

“One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination.” — John C. Maxwell

FYE Mentors are students like you but with experience! They work with incoming students to build effective study habits, navigate the college process and technology, and direct students to the various programs and services offered on campus. FYE students are able to connect with a mentor via MSJC email, face-to-face, and now through virtual online meetings.

Connecting with an FYE Mentor:

Students may meet with any mentor for a mentoring session during operation hours. FYE Mentors also send emails to FYE students via MSJC email throughout the semester as reminders for important dates, resources, virtual updates, activities with other departments, and to follow-up with each FYE student’s experience. FYE students are encouraged to connect with their mentor via MSJC email and meet with them at least once a semester.
