Eligibility to Join Phi Theta Kappa

 

  • You must have completed 12 or more degree applicable units at MSJC with at least a 3.5 Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • You must have your MSJC ID with a current and valid SGA (Student Government Association) sticker
  • You must be currently enrolled at MSJC
  • You must submit membership application along with membership dues for $85.00 (one-time fee, life-time membership)
  • You must maintain a 3.25 GPA after you join
 
Transfer units will be considered as long as they are no more than 5 years old. 
We urge you to apply in the semester that you are qualified for.
 
Mail a completed application along with a copy of your student ID and current SGA sticker and a $85.00 check or money order payable to MSJC to:

Applications can also be dropped off in room 1114 (inside the cafeteria) on the San Jacinto Campus. We do not accept credit or debit cards. You may pay in cash in person at the PTK Office. 
We do not carry change in the PTK office. If you would like to pay in cash, please have exact change or you may donate any amount you would like. We are a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit organization. If you would like to pay by check or money order, please make it payable to MSJC.

Office Hours are Mon-Thurs 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Office closed for lunch from 12:30-1:00 and for ICC & SGA Meetings. Please check door for updated information as hours are subject to change.
