Eagle Career Connection Frequently Asked Questions for Students
Q: I can’t log-in. What am I doing wrong?
A: Your username is your MSJC User ID. Be sure NOT to use your student email address. Your MSJC User ID is the first initial of your first name, your full last name and then last 3 digits of your student ID.
Your password is the same password that you use for Blackboard.
Q: I am a returning student to MSJC. Do I have access to using Eagle Career Connection?
A: All current students and 1 year out of alumni have access to using Eagle Career Connection. If you are a returning student, complete a returning student application to MSJC by clicking here. Once you have completed your application online, in about 5 business days, you will be able to access Eagle Career Connection.
Q: I want to apply for a position, but the system will not allow me. How can I fix this?
A: Be sure to fully complete your Academic and Personal Profiles. Some positions may only allow students to apply if they are a specific major or have a specific degree completed. Once your Academic and Personal Profiles are completed, Eagle Career Connection will tell you if you qualify for the position. You must also have a resume uploaded and approved before you can apply to any position.
Q: I uploaded my resume, but it is still in Pending Documents. What do I do?
A: All resumes and cover letters loaded into Eagle Career Connection must be approved by MSJC Career Services Staff prior to submitting to an employer. Once uploaded, your resume will be reviewed within 5 business days. If you receive an email notifying you of recommended changes, please review the recommendations, revise your resume and then re-upload into Eagle Career Connection. To expedite the review process, visit the Career/Transfer Center or schedule an appointment with a Counselor to have your resume reviewed.
