While the MSJC Outreach Program remains flexible to respond to college and community needs throughout the academic year, the following is a general timeline of the core Outreach services that we provide.

July-August:

• Outreach personnel plan meetings with high school counselors
• College Mentors assist with Enrollment Services peak registration period

August-September:

• Initial College Mentor visits to the high schools we serve (link to MSJC District Area High Schools Page). College Mentor visits will continue monthly or as needed until the end of April
• College Mentors assist with SGA Welcome Back Barbeques at both campuses
• Constitution Day Celebration at both MVC and SJC campuses

October:

• MSJC College Fair - All high schools are invited to bring up to 50 juniors and seniors to the college for a 60-90 minute campus tour and opportunity to meet with other college and university representatives
• MSJC/SGA Halloween Festivities at both campuses
• College Mentors assist with MSJC Homecoming Celebrations and Tailgate events

• Educational Partners Breakfast

January:

• College Mentors assist with Enrollment Services peak registration period
• College Mentors assist with SGA Welcome Back Barbeques at both MVC and SJC campuses

February:

• Financial Aid workshops offered to high school seniors/parents
• Financial Aid Saturdays

February-March:

• Outreach presentations and tours available to high school students
• College: Making it Happen Program in partnership with CSUSM
• MSJC Scholarship Applications due mid-March

April:

• MSJC Application Workshops, Assessment testing, and Orientation sessions offered to seniors, at high school locations
• MSJC Multicultural Festival Celebration; come celebrate diversity with us at this free event at MVC

May:

• MSJC Honors Convocation Ceremony in mid-May
• MSJC Graduation/Commencement in late May 
• End of Year Celebration for College Mentors in late May

June:

• College Mentors assist with Enrollment Services peak registration period

July:

• College Mentor training and retreat in late July
