Academic and Other Activities
1. Workshops for CARE students
Workshops consist of topics relavent for single parents that includes but are not limited to Study Skills, Time Managements, Financial Management, Networking for Success, Writing for Scholarships, Resume and Interviewing Skills.
2. College Visits
Visiting 4-year or transfer college campuses are important for the CARE students as they get ready to transfer and want to get a better idea about their decision on a specific campus. Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance to meet with a staff in their prospective college(s). CARE students have visited CSU- San Bernardino and CSU San Marcos, and many more will be added in the near future.
3. CARE Club
A student Club focusing on single parents issues that provides support and network as they try to balance school, work and of being single parents. The CARE Club meets every week with Club Officers and once a month with its members. The meetings consists of planning activities that help support the CARE members and their children.
