The original concept (as recommended by Information, Communications, and Technology Committee) of the Print Management System was presented to Executive Cabinet in February 2011. EC immediately instituted a moratorium on the purchase of any new printer equipment until the Printer Management System continued through the Shared Governance Process and was immediately placed as a goal (item #12) to Maintain Fiscal Stability (as presented to the Board of Trustees in February 2011.) The recommendation was then taken to the Budget Committee in March of 2011 and upon approval was placed on the Board of Trustees Agenda as a contract in May 2011.
