MSJC students appear in fashion show with Recycled Art

The April 20 Recycled Art and Fashion Show will raise funds for the MSJC Art Department
 
Art students from Mt. San Jacinto College will strut the runway with their recycled fashion/ wearable art during The Recycled Art and Fashion Show 2013 on April 20.
 
The show, presented by Temecula Recycling and Hine Temecula Mazda, will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Monte de Oro Winery 35820 Rancho California Road, Temecula Ca. 92591.This fundraising event will help support the Art Department at Mt. San Jacinto College.
 
Most of the pieces that the MSJC students design are made from at least 50% of recycled items like newspaper, plastics, can tabs, metals, duct tape, plastic bags, rubber, thrift store items, and more. All designers identify their pieces and most make a statement or portray a message.
 
The event also features a Juried Art Show, where the art is made of recycled Items. The celebrity Artists will include Kris Estenger, fabric artist and Maggie Sichter, a young aspiring artist from Chicago!
 
The ‘green’ expo area will feature ‘green’ friendly businesses, local artists, recycled art and furniture.
 
Early Bird tickets are available for $10 per person, which includes light appetizers and desserts. After April 15, tickets are $15 per person. Tickets can be purchased on line at: www.recycledartshow.com
