MSJC Student Email Changes

Microsoft is upgrading Mt. San Jacinto College student e-mail accounts to Office 365. The change will affect how student e-mail looks and provide students with more tools, but it will function much like the e-mail students currently use.
 
Mt. San Jacinto College will implement the upgrades to student e-mail accounts from August 8 – August 12, 2013. During this time, students can still use their student email account to send and receive email; however, they may notice slowness or brief disruptions in accessing e-mail while the upgrade is being performed.
 
MSJC will continue to use MSJC provided student email as the primary method of communication. Students will still have access to use Microsoft Outlook Web App or Microsoft Outlook to view and send email, but will sign in at a different website. Usernames and passwords for student email will not change during the upgrade. Students will be able to login to student email accounts with the same username and password after the upgrade.
 
What do students need to do?
Complete the following steps:
If you are using Internet Explorer 6 or 7, upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer.
  1. If you use Outlook to read your email and you are using Microsoft Office 2003, upgrade to Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 to continue using Outlook.
  2. Access your email and calendar at student.msjc.edu

Do you use SkyDrive?
If so, SkyDrive accounts will be separate from MSJC Student Email accounts after the upgrade.  Students will login at skydrive.live.com using the same username and password as their student email for their first login.
