MSJC Participating in Race for the Cure

Mt. San Jacinto College is encouraging students, alumni, staff and supporters to participate in the October 2011 Komen Race for the Cure.

MSJC is forming a team to help support the 13th Annual Susan G. Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure. Participants can run, walk or simply donate to the event, designed to raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer.

All funds for the Komen Race for the Cure go to research, education, screening and treatment programs. Up to 75% of the net proceeds remain in the Inland empire for education, support, diagnostic services and treatment programs for uninsured women and families. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Program.

MSJC employees have supported the event for several years and employees helped raise thousands of dollars for the Race for the Cure.

The Race for the Cure will be held on Oct. 16 at the Promenade Mall in Temecula. Adults $30; Seniors $25; Youth $20; children ages 10 and younger only $15.
