Overview


Administrator/Faculty/Staff support

Desktop Support provides information, diagnostics & repair, and configuration & setup for all administrative desktop hardware & software including network connections and printing. This service is provided primarily for the benefit of administrators, faculty, & staff employed by MSJC at all teaching locations. 

Administrators, faculty & staff benefit from the service by receiving desktop support for all of their computer hardware & software needs as well as assistance with data backup & recovery, virus protection, and security scanning.


Audience

The Information Technology department provides desktop support services to all administrators, faculty, or staff employed by MSJC at all teaching locations while utilizing MSJC provided hardware and software. The Information Technology department does not provide classroom desktop support, computer lab desktop support, or direct support for student desktop computing. 


Features

Administrator, Faculty, and Staff support :
  • Provides support for any desktop issue including network registration and printing

  • Provides for configuration of software and loading of software from distribution site

  • Provides security scanning for desktop hardware 

  • Provides assistance with District standard desktop software

Please contact the Information Technology helpdesk to submit a work order for desktop support services

This service is typically available during normal business hours, Monday - Thursday, 7:30am-5:30PM.
