Create New Classified, Temporary, and Faculty User Accounts

Service Name:
Create New Classified, Temporary, and Faculty User Account.
 
Service Description:
This service is necessary when a user has been hired at the district and needs an email account for communication, or needs specific access to a network account to successfully completed his jobs.
 
Supported Products:
Supported Products for this service include (but are not limited to) the following:
User Profile Accounts (i.e.: for Network, or Local access to a User’s workstation)
District E-Mail (including off-site access to one’s account via mobile devices)
Telephone Voice-Mailboxes
Various Computer Applications (i.e.: Colleague, Blackboard, et. al`)
Policies:
Required form will need to be sent to the Helpdesk.  Forms can be found at  \\eaglepublic\Public\forms
 
Ordering and Request Procedures:
The following forms are used to authorize secured access to the Mt. San Jacinto College network. 
  • Computer Network Access Request – (CNSA)
    • This form must be signed by the department Supervisor or Dean to request Network
      access rights for a new permanent or temporary employee requiring network access. 
    • The form is also required for any additional or revised network access. 
  • Computer Network Removal Request – (CNAR)
    • Any revision to accounts requiring network removal will require this form completed and approved by the Supervisor or Dean of the department. 
  • Computer Work Order Request – (CWR)
    • Computer Work Order Request can be filled out by anyone. A Supervisor or Dean approval is required when equipment is being moved from one building to another, from room to room in the same department, or across campuses.
    • To have equipment adjusted the same room or at your desk does not need higher approval.
  • Computer Equipment Release – (CER)
    • Computer Release form requires Supervisor or Dean Approval to release equipment for Use of another department or surplus
  • Telephone Move Add and Change Request – (TMAC)
    • A TMAC form is for submitting various telephone requests, such as adding or removing form directories, Configuring new Phones, requesting voice mail or Log distance …etc.
 
Support Terms and Conditions:
The Help-Desk Technician will create the network and email accounts.  Permissions to specific department, applications, will be configured and set as requested.  Helpdesk or technician will add user as a local administrator to the requested Work station, create Outlook profile, verify requested Drive access, printer access and explain the purpose of departmental drives and answer any question that may arise.

Typical charge for creating accounts .50/.75
 
Entitlement:
You are allowed to use the network and email account at MSJC.
 
Authorization:
Supervisor, Associate Dean, Dean or higher approval for this service is necessary.
 
Service Delivery Timeframe (SLO):
Allow 5 working days from the receipt of form for processing.
