Daphne Jackson Fellowships
The Daphne Jackson Fellowships enable high-level scientist and engineers to return to their professions after a career break. It is particularly hard to re-enter science or engineering. In such rapidly moving fields, constant attention is needed to keep up with the latest development. Many people, mostly women, vanish forever from their professions due to breaks to raise children, care for the elderly, or simply because of a partner's relocation. The Daphne Jackson Fellowship scheme demonstrates that this appalling waste need not happen.
