Governance Assessment Process
Recognizing the importance of continual improvement and
maintaining the vibrancy and currency of the governance process at MSJC, the following annual evaluation
process is in place to evaluate the effectiveness of each shared governance committee.
Mid year (December)An mid-year report
is employed to measure the effectiveness of the Governance Committee
in reaching its original goals. The report is discussed and completed by the governance committee and forwarded to the College Council for review and approval. The reports are then made available online via the MSJC website.
End of year (May)
An end of year report to measure
the effectiveness and efficiency of individual governance committees is
administered within each of the committees. The written report summarizing the committees discussion, and suggesting any changes to committee structure and
function that are deemed necessary to increase the effectiveness of each
governance committee, are included on this form. The form is approved at the committee level and sent forward to College Council for report out and approval.
