Steve Alonzo begins his 21st year as the skipper of the Eagles baseball program. MSJC is coming off their best season under Alonzo last year when they went 35-13 and were one game away from the State Final Four. The Eagles won the Foothill Conference championship as well as winning a Regional series with Cerritos last year.
Alonzo, is a graduate of Azusa Pacific and Rio Hondo College, he earned his master's degree at Brigham Young University. Alonzo's coaching stops include; BYU, Rio Hondo, and Mountain View High School. Alonzo also has an extensive background coaching professional baseball in both the Red Sox and Montreal Expos (Washington Nationals) organizations.
